It was from Lake Simcoe, Cook's Bay. I never fished perch until last year so I didn't know how big they could get. It was just over 14 inches. I read in the "Guide to Eating Sportfish in Ontario" that the record is 15.1 inches.
I remember as a kid fishing Mississquoi bay on Lake Champlain and catching fairly large perch....unfortunately now, half that size would be considered big.
