TYE.... are you right in Peterborough ?????...... I got relatives in Peterborough, Lakefield and surrounding area so I get out that way from time to time..... most of the land they have is farm land though so not to many places to hunt.....

since you are out that way sorta'.... do you know anything about a pheasant game preserve around Warkworth ????..... only reason I ask is I'm thinking about getting a GSP (German shorthair) and wanted somewhere to train it.... when the time comes...

well.... :? .... the deer are there but the whole property is nothing but fencelines and cultivated fields..... the only place that could be used to set up just happens to join with another fellow who is definately against anything to do with hunting..... and during the season he regularly runs his ATV in and around anywhere he can..... so I don't bother.... there's other places without the hassle.....

Haha really? On top of the hill? I think there's like an apple farm or corn field back there.

My friend (Devils Elbow's owners son) and I were thinking about gettin some permission from some guy who owns property behind the Elbow. His dad knows the guy who owns the property my friend told me about.

Salker,
There's a pheasant farm just north of Bethay called, Hunt a Kind. I use to hunt there a few years ago and they are still in business. They raise & traing GSP too. I didn't have a dog at the time and was able to use one of theirs. Good luck.
