it is going on a browning 270 wsm it is a left handed thumbhole on a right handed bolt... how is that for confuseing :lol:

Thats a sweet stock.... ahhhh 270 WSM... I have one of those BAD BOYS..... had mine for 2 years now...and 4 deer.. real nice gun...I would like to see you shooting it..............

That is absolutely beautiful. It will be a real pleasure for you to carry that in the woods, knowing that you made it yourself. I think that all of us hunters like to be as self-reliant as we can be, and crafting your own weapon (at least in part) is a real accomplishment.

I do some woodworking, and would like to try something like that for my x-bow, maybe during the heart of the winter. Do you have any advice on where to start? Did you use plans, templates, or did you wing it? What tools did you use?

Allmost to pretty to carry into the woods to get scratched up. Very nice looking stock Chessy. Excellent job.
