There was such a device that was actually marketed a few years ago that attatched to a compound bow and let you shoot a bolt of about 8 or 9 inches with the blades as vanes. I can't remember the name of it this late at night, but, there was great debate and discussion about it on the bowsite forum.

I am not great at archives but I will see if I can find the name of it again. I remember going to their website about 6 or so years ago.

The device for compounds was called the accu rest. You can see it at www.accurest.com.

The patent information you have referred to may relate to an earlier prototype.

I understand that designer2 says it's best to start from scratch rather than modify an existing Xbow.

Can you release any information as to price and availability, both for the Xbow and the bolts?

Hi5

As I am sure you are aware, most companies do overcharge to a certain extent. When we get it going, we want to charge a little less than a comparable model. If I have any say about it, we will not charge more.
The 6" arrows will cost no more than a broadhead tipped 20" bolt with their own quiver. The 6" arrow quivers will attach on the side of the stock keeping the extra weight closer to the archer for better balance.

We will try our best to get these built as soon as possible. I assure you, it will not be before spring.

designer 2, I simply hate a bow quiver, can I rig up a hip quiver to carry 3 or 4 bolts safely and comfortly or have you something to do the job

If we get enough backing, I want to offer a leg strap and/or hip pouch where you can carry 3 or 4 or 5 arrows with quivers at one time. The arrows in the quivers are safe enough to carry in an upper field jacket pocket as well.

designer 2, I haven't kept up with this thread to much, but is there some sort of time table when these products will become available to the public. Is it days away or months or years.
