Let it go..

Post by frisky »

tonight at 530pm I had my vert bow on full draw. The red dot site on the deers boiler room. The range was 10 yards. The shoot was not broad side, but slightly quartering away. Its near leg forward, its head busy eating leaves. The perfect shot but then............Bambi, had a lucky day, I let it go! I have shot this size deer in the past, but not today.

Would you guys/gals let it go (today anyway) for a doe or a buck?

A doe? Nope. We just started a Quality Deer Management program here and I've been instructed that I have to thin out does this year. I can only shoot bucks that are monsters, or else! Bucks less than 8 points get to walk. They have to be 8 or more points plus wider than the ears.
