Varizone fogging

Post by ninepointer »

I've been doing some hunting in the cold rain and have had my Varizone fog a bit on the outside of both lenses. Not from breathing on the scope, just from the cold and dampness. Under good light this is not a problem, but it could sure screw things up at last light.

My rifles have scopes, so I know that even the best of scopes can fog under the right (or wrong!) conditions.

Anyone have suggestions on how to reduce the fogging?

Try buying some anti fogging stuff at the opticians store. A little bit of spit may also help in a jamb.

flip up scope covers work great. Keep them closed until you need to look through!!

Where can you get the flip covers for the varizone, and how much?
