Yesterday afternoon I decided to move one of my treestands. I've been seeing deer in it but they were always to far for a shot. I moved it 25yds toward where I'd been seeing them. I was fully expecting to start travelling where my stand used to be because that's usually how it goes. I had no action last night but headed out early this morning (nursing a pretty good hangover I might add). the first hour and a half was dead.I thought I might as well try grunting even though I can honestly say in all my 25yrs of deer hunting I've never had any success with one. After giving a short series of grunts I had just put it back in my pocket when I saw a buck(6pt) coming right at me looking to see what was going on.he was only 10 yards from me and I was about to give him a baah! to stop him when he stopped broadside to sniff something on the ground that caught his attention. His back legs kicked out as soon as I shot so I new it was a good hit. I could see the arrow from my tree stand stuck in the ground covered with blood. This is my first shot at a deer using Slick Tricks and all I can say is WOW. I see now why some of you were saying they leave a blood trail a blind man could follow. We found him about 80 yds from my stand. It was the easiest trailing job we've ever had. I'm now a believer in Slick Tricks and grunt calls. Thanks
