Finally!

Post by deerslayr »

I got this little 8 pointer Friday night. He has broken off four of them fighting, probably with the big 10 pointer that I have seen in the area. He isn’t really big and I let him walk by last week but after 23 days in a tree stand and nothing to show for it I couldn’t wait any longer.

This was also the longest shot I have ever taken, about 30 yards. I shot him as he was walking and my bolt hit about ten inches back from the aim point. Hit the liver, diaphragm and nicked the stomach (ARRRRGH!). He walked another 40 yards and fell over.

Congrates. Not that I'd recomend gut shots but they're not as bad as people make them out to be if you clean body cavity and exit wound carefully.

good job bro.....

Hey let me tell ya ...My buddy Jack bow shot a deer and when he was cleanin it he got a alfalfa facial..He accidently cut into the gut sack..It was bloated from blood ( internal bleeding ).. I laughed my ass off I swear..When he hit the gut sack it sounded like a healthy fart and he jumped back spittin and when he looked up at me he had it all over his face..Iknow he got some in his mouth or he wouldnt have been spittin..I never let him forget how pretty he is since his facial...

anyway great Job DS..
