Well so much for this season

Today is the last day of hunting this season. Gonna go out after church, around 6pm, but won't hold my breath. There will be very little legal light left.

But I have had fun.

Planning for next year I was hoping to find someone who will take a newbie crossbow hunter along on a party hunt next year. I am new to xbow hunting but have hunted with a rifle for 20 years, and know my way around in the bush. Would like to stay in Manitoba but would consider Ontario. Does Ontario allow xbows during archery season? Or only during black powder or high power?

I currently don't know anyone in the area who hunts xbow so have no party to try and join. Looking to hook up with someone

Yes Ontario allows crossbows during the entire archery season. In my area I'll be hunting until December 31st

Partikle you are lucky. First, we can only hunt during muzzleloader/shotgun or high power seasons here in manitoba

By the way, there is a late season for shotgun/muzzleloader only in GHA 33 here in Manitoba. It starts Monday and goes till Christmas eve. I already bought 1 archery tag, then a high power tag so I could crossbow hunt in my area, do I need to buy a shotgun/muzzleloader tag as well or is the highpower tag still usable in this season?

You can hunt under the rifle tag with your x-bow,but not with a artchery tag.You can't hunt gha 33 with a X-bow.

I'm hoping to get up to the trailer this weekend. The last 3 weekends I have been doing drywalling at my girlfriends house. She gets back from a months visit with a friend in Africa tomorrow. She had her safari so I'll have mine this weekend.........If I can shake the remnants of this lousy cold.

I tried a hot toddy....Scotch, hot water, honey and cloves. I got rid of the hot water, honey and cloves and felt a lot better.......... until the next morning.
