Woody
This Canuck has a registered .38 and is scared the feds will come for it. I was raised to know the difference between being right and being dead right :( . I may have to unlock it and the case but at least I feel a little better in this reengineered socialist society :? that Toronto seems to crave. Just my rant and sorry if I bored everyone.

No shot intended at you, Woody, but I think internet polls have about as much integrity as the Liberal Party does. Both sides on the issue cheat.

So do the Liberals, by the way.

I sent this following letter to the PM. If I do not get a response I will send a copy to the other political parties. I think there are two issues, 1-The banning of handguns will only effect the law abiding citizens 2-My tax dollars are not being spent the way I want them to. We must remind the government they work for US. WE are their employers.

Maybe some of you guys can send a letter as well. Never mind polls. We need to flood the PM's mailbox with with letters of discontent.

Dear Prime Minister Paul Martin,

This proposal is a waste of time and money. I do not want my tax dollars spent this way. Banning handguns will not accomplish anything. Well it will. It will buy votes from the ignorant. And it will suck money into a lost cause. To believe anything else is foolish!!

Criminals do not care about the laws, that is what makes them criminals. Plain and simple. Is it not already against the law to kill someone? I'm pretty sure it is. So if that is illegal do you think these thugs care that the handguns, which were already acquired illegally, are now banned?

I'll be honest with you, I don't have any party favourites although anything other than Liberal seems about right.

Please, STOP wasting my money!!! I work too damn hard for it to have you spend it irresponsibly!!

Oh while you are at it, consider the other other waste of my money, the gun registry. Seeing as how it is useless, do you think I can have the money back that I spent to have my firearms registered? That seems fair.

Chris, I fired off a similar letter (that was mostly copied off yours-hope you don't mind, I thought it was well written) to my local Liberal MP and to Paul Martin. And I've already ordered my Conservative sign for my front lawn. We gotta do what we can to stop this fiasco - I hope everyone does the same. It is gonna be a struggle as the liberal followers are pretty much ignorant. I can't see how people can turn a blind eye, after everything thats happened and vote them back in.

Don't mind in the least. In fact anyone wanting to use it to send to your MP or the PM go right ahead.
