ATV Forums?

Post by Kuffs »

I'm looking for a recent year Yamaha 350 to 450. There's a forum exactly like this one for dual purpose bikes.
http://www.odsc.on.ca

Does anyone know of a similar one for atv's

Thanks!!!

:D I have had 2 yamaha's and my son still has the 1986 MOTO- 225 I got 12 years ago and it still runs great and gets us into the woods and gets the deer out . but for realy realy rough and wet areas I go with my HONDA RANCHER E-S. more dependable , more power and elect shift .Between the BRUIN and the RANCHER the HONDA wins hands down.
just my 2 cents worth. check out this site http://forums.atvconnection.com/index.cfm

Kuffs, here is another ATV Forum, it has an English portion to it if you interested (see 4th section).

Thanks for the post Kuffs, we use our Quads for work and play. The Yamy 450 is nice with the IRS and 2wh/4wh and diff lock, but the biggest problem they have is the damn squealing brakes.

I'm selling my Praire 400 4X4 in the spring and buying a Honda Rubicon 500 Canadain Trail. I've been doing my homework on ALL quads, and have found this to be the BEST ALL AROUND Quad on the market, but the most expensive 500cc of the lot. Its got a solid rear axle, not as good of ride as the independents, but solid axles are more made for pulling and hauling. The belt clutch on my Praire gets loud when whipping down the road, and slips when wet. Honda's hydraulic fluid drive with push button electric shift when needed, comes in handy for hauling moose or heavy firewood loads.

O.K. enough before you guys think I work for Honda.

Hey guys, thanks a lot for all your input. I was also looking at the Kawasaki KVF 360. It seems to have a few bells & whistles (more than the Yamaha 350 Bruin). What do you guys think about it? Here's the Link

Little bit late in responding. This quad is much the same as my Praire or KVF 400 4X4. I really like my quad but, its in constant 4X4, yours has 2/4 wheel drive with a better shifter.
They have an awesome ride even with the mono shock. It likely has the wider back tires for alot better traction, like mine. The 360 also has engine braking, which mine doesn't. Also very important Kuffs, the biggest gripe with my quad is that it has a terrible vibration through the complet machine. When I'm sitting on it, the vibration rattles my eye balls, believe it or not, I can't see properly. Only if I stand up, on my tip toes does the vibration subside. That way the vibes don't jolt through my whole body.

Other than that these Kaweeys are one tough bike. I know outffiters that use them and love'em.

Mine is a 2001, technology changes yearly for the better.

I have a 2013 Ya,aha Kodiak 450 with the power steering. It's my second Yamaha, after seeing what I put the first one through and how it held up I was sold on Yamaha. My buddy has a Honda rancher, great bike also. The power steering is a must have, they may all that by now. Can Ams get great reviews but $$$$$$. I did not need a big machine, more concerned about where it will go. The bigger the tougher it is to get through stuff. You will be happy with Either the Honda or Yamaha.
