When I got my Exomax a couple of weeks before the end of season (no luck by the way) I zeroed the scope at twenty, checked the speed and dialed scope to 349ish (according to the machine) and backed off to 30 yards. The mark on the scope was bang on! Don't have the room to try 40 or 50 easily but I will assume it is also ranged right.
Most of the deer I saw were at ranges just slightly in excess of 20 yards.
My question is, there is a hash mark just above the crosshairs. What is the purpose of that? I was thinking that if I zeroed that for 20, instead of the main cross hairs, I might get close to 30 on the main cross hair, then 40, 50 60 on the other hash marks. Does that make sense to anyone? Will it even work that way? I admit to not knowing the physics of the optical sights
Does anyone see a good reason to do this, or am I just nuts.

If a man says something in the forest, and his wife is not around to hear him,,,,,,,,Is he still wrong?
