My wife's new X-Bow!

Post by Slink »

I would like to thank those of you that gave me advise on which bow to purchase for my wife. After several weeks of weighing the pros & cons of each bow, we decided on the Excalibur - Phoenix with the Vari-Zone scope package. (Based on its light weight and ease of maintenance.)

Well, the bow arrived and after some assemby it was ready to try-out. WOW - What a Bow!!! My wife is shooting very good groups at 40 yards. I knew she could shoot a rifle very well, I just didn't expect a cross bow to group like this. We are using a NFAA indoor five spot as a target and the bow will routinely put arrows in the 5-ring at 40 yrads with many of them in the X-ring. This is kneeling, but shooting off hand. I have also shot the carbon bolt through the crono and it clocks at 309 F.P.S.

To say that we are pleased with our purchase would be an understatment.

I would also like to thank the folks at Addicted to Archery for their prompt shipment of our order.

Please don't take any of the previous statemnts as a bash toward any of the other bows that we had considered. I am sure that they are very fine bows and those that own them are just as excited about their bow as my wife is about hers. :D

Thanks again for all of your help. Now let's see ...... How long is it until bow season??
