CROSSBOW POLL

CROSSBOW POLL

I thought it might be fun to see what Minnesota really thought about the crossbow. Then a friend sends me an email from Alberta Canada entailing the request for Alberta archers to vote in the survey to tip the scales in favor of no. Gloves are off, friends. Work your magic, people. Spread the word!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT

Post by DJH »

That's okay, Gang! We are voting against the entire North American Bowhunter Coalition and they had three days jump on us. It is bound to look bad. This Saturday we are having our first organizational meeting for the Minnesota Association of Crossbow Hunters in Baxter at the Gander Mountain there. We will organize and be a thorn in their sides regardless of what the poll looks like. They needed all their cohorts to make them look good and we have the emails below to point out to our legislatures how they made the poll happen. We will dig in and we will win - EVENTUALLY! I just thank God that I have a source like the Excalibur Website to help us even the scales just a bit. Thank you all for your stellar support. You folks are the greatest! Even the village idiot should be able to tell who is really supporting hunting and who is trying to tear it down.

Subject: Help MN on Crossbow Survey

NABC Organizational Reps,

Below is a message to the coalition from Randy Doyle, the NABC rep for the Minnesota Bowhunters Inc. Randy is asking for assistance from the NABC groups with regard to a Minnesota crossbow survey that is at www.outdoornews.com. A large NO response to this particular survey will be immensely helpful to our Minnesota bowhunter colleagues in their effort to keep crossbows out of their bow season. There is an a active pro-crossbow entity in MN that will no doubt be pushing to get people to vote YES. So please take just a few seconds to respond to this survey per Randy's request, and encourage others to do the same.

Stan, Can you forward to all NABC members. I keep hearing Crossbows are going to be introduced in Minnesota this year. So far no legislation that I've seen but all NABC members can help us out by getting on Outdoornews.com now and voting on the issue. I beleive an overwheming NO would help us immensely if and when legislation does show up. Thanks Randy Doyle Minnesota Bowhunters Inc.

Excal Folks - The poll was pulled today. I contacted the editor and shared the email that was responsible for throwing the poll way our of kilter late yesterday after noon and he pulled it this morning. I have no idea whether it was pulled early, but at least he now knows why it went the way that it did. Thank you all for your participation and your efforts to combat the NABC. We are going to have to watch this group really close. It's too bad that with so many anti-hunting organizations trying to drive our passion into the dirt, that we have to watch a bowhunting organization that is just as big a danger as PETA. All I can do is shake my head in shame.
