Has anybody come across any statistics on how many xbow hunters there are in both the US and Canada??

I don't think anyone can give you a semi-accurate account..
Even in the crossbow mecca of Ohio they estimate how many are out there. Last estimate was 120,000..
You can calculate a rough number if you want to.
In a recent Deer and Deer Hunting survey they ascertained that 9.6% of the deer hunters hunted with a crossobw.
Deer hunters that hunted with a recurve made up 4.8% and longbow deer hunters was .9%.
So if you know how many deer hunters there are just multiply by that percenatge (9.6%).
That would be a very ROUGH ballpark figure..
