Red dot scope

Post by schnarrfuss »

Hello all, just got a early birthday present :D today. Picked up a Bushnell Trophy Red dot/Green dot scope. I plan on putting it on my 22 magnum but am considering trying it on my Exomag. Anyone here tried a red dot scope on their x-bow.

I have a red dot on both my vert and crossbow. Both are single dots.

I have used the one on the vert for about six years now. I am not "old enough" to use the xbow for hunting , but I have shot it about 200 times at targets. I have both sighted at 20 yards. I , personaly, like them, but alot of fellows use the verizone scope. To each their own.

I have that same red dot on my crossbow at the moment. I will be picking up an Exomax in the summer and will move to the verizone, not because it is no good but only for help with point of impact at range. The red dot is good but in low light conditions it can overpower your sighting picture. If you keep both eyes open when you shoot you will have no problem, I got my deer this year with it and if my bow did not malfunction I would continue to use the old bow and red dot in the future.

Red dot all the way. Both eyes open so you can be on the target faster and in low light you can dim the dot down. mine was 49$ at walmart

Halo reddot scope

Post by srwiles0007 »

8) I started hunting this year with ecocet 200 with halo reddot scope. No magnifaction. No scope eye relief to contend with. It has an adjustment for brightness so in low light situations you can adjust easily. It is small and light weight. Four different sight pictures, dot, crosshair, circle crosshair and circle dot. Love it.
