Sabbatical Time

Post by Tom »

Well I guess it is time for me to take a break from this site. The spammers I could put up with. I can also put up with trolls that frequent the forum. But what is really bothering me is that the people of this forum is reacting and inticing the trolls to continue harassing the forum. If they got no response from the forum they will not waste their time here, they would go to another forum to harrass.

I am not a moderator or am I an Administrator but I am a concerned frequent long term member of this forum. I have no right in telling anyone in how to deal with trolls, but I have asked in a hope that it might help keep this site fun and educational. For me it is no longer fun, just troubling.

Take care, have safe hunting trips and continue to enjoy the outdoors. IF things clear up, I might come back at a later time.

Sorry it has to be that way, Tom.

But I just don't have the patience with the garbage that this loon is spewing all over the net about women and everything else.

And I'm not gonna let anyone $hit on me without bitting back, I never have and never will.

Hope to see you back soon!

Catch you on the flip side!...

Stick around Tom, have some fun with this loser (mikeeusa), he's a loser and he knows it. If enough people tell him that, he'll eventually believe it, and I'm sure many , many people have told him that already. Most of us are handened by trolls anyway. Its a way for us to release also. Isn't it nice to know that there are other people in way worse shape than you.

Thank you mikeeusa, for making my day.

Tom,
I have been here only since Dec. 06, but have Excal experience since 91.
I will certainly miss your educational imput, which is very helpful, I might add. That not only helps me but all other forum members as well, it would be a loss not to have you here. What ever you decide is fine and having you return is even better.

why would you leave the forum ?? over a person stirring stuff,,
wouldnt the easier solution be to just not respond to a persons post that is doing this?? not to feed what the person is trying to do,, ( cause caos..)
I have been watching and though I have been told that my opinions are not welcome or paided attention to on this forum anymore I would just Ignoir any thing that is posted and not reply in any way that way the person has no fuel to feed whatever he is trying to do.. JMO

htoler,

some folks just don't like to "listen" to the crap. I've taken breaks from the forum before because of too many posts going astray or just plain starting out as bickering. I find the forum really enjoyable and informative a month or two before a hunting season rolls around. The rest of the time I just check in every once in a while to see if there is anything worth reading.

Sometimes you just need a break.

Oh please!!!! Just don't read them. If you want to enjoy ANY forum at all, it is a part of life. If you see a thread that is spammed, don't open it. think of them as potholes on the road. You don't like em so you try to avoid them. Doesn't mean you should be denying yourself access to the road.

Your call though.
