hello, looking for advice on mounting my new varizone scope, it calls for lock tite on the screws for the base. i just acquired some from walmart and it states its super glue. is this correct? just want to make sure , that i'm applying the right product . thanks again

No don't use super glue. Go to an auto parts store and get Locktite Blue.
Red is for if you don't ever intend to remove the scope mounts.

I have a tube on my desk right now. It's Permatex brand, but it's the medium strength blue #24200. I had a screw on my eyeglasses that kept coming loose. Cleaned with alcohol and a drop of threadlocker blue and it hasn't moved since!
I'm like Bob in that I usually assemble everything to be sure of fit and function first, then take it apart and add the threadlocker as I re-assemble.

thanks for the advice, the wife grabbed some when she was shopping today, but when i read "super glue", i thought i'd better double check.

Loc-Tite blue for sure...screws certainly are prone to coming loose on our Excals.
