What is a Scope? Duh

Post by WRC »

I live in WA. where it is illegal to have a scope on a crossbow. So my question to the Fish and Game Officials is what constitutes a scope since there are the non-magnified sighting devices. (I.E. Red Dot illuminated etc).
I Talked to 4 different people @ the F & G dept. and got 4 very vague and different answers. Anybody got any feed back on this. Or does anybody know of a decent 4 pin sight that will work on my exomag. I just dont' care for the sight that came with my exomag, ( which i would not trade for all the tea in china). Thanks

Tell the Fish and Game Officials that you want an answer in writing. If they cannot give you a clear and consice answer tell them you want that in writing too.
You can take the man out of the woods but you can't take the woods out of the man.

In Ontario there are many rules that are GRAY LINE as well. What I have done is write in asking them (usually e-mail) for a clarifacation of the law. I then save their reply and print off copies and carry it with me. The CO can't then make up his own ruling on it if his/her head office has already wrote to you stating differently. The courts would kinda make him pay for your legal fees and other costs.

Good luck
