Crossbow models 2004,2005,2006......

Post by Andrewj »

Is there any difference between the Pheonix Models in those years?

i have the chance to buy a 2005 Pheonix for about $100 cheaper than a 2006 model.

are there any differences? technology wise? sizes etc...

PHOENIX

The Phoenix came out in 2004 with the Exocet 200. Ihave owned both. Looked at them again at Bass Pro the other day and can see no changes. Digger is the guru of Excalibur.

My Exocet is probably 6-7 years old and is still in great shape and more than fast enough for whitetails. I'd go with the older model and spend the $100 on accessories.

2004 and maybe some of the 2005 models, early ones are 14" rail length same as the early vixens however tilted limb riser. They did not get the speed they should have so 1/2" was added to the late model Phoenix and 1/2" was cut from the vixen and a tilted riser added. Same thing with the exocet. :D Check the rail length and that would tell ya! The difference is minor in a since of speaking however if you are after the speed it make's a big difference (FPS)

You could e-mail Excalibur or the Dude and ask when the change took place. I have a early model and a newer model .... :D
