Prayers needed

Post by raydaughety »

I'll spare you all of the details, but my wife is taking me to Duke University for a study on what, if anything can be done about my spine. The pain and depression have been severe lately and is taking it's toll on me and my wife and kids. You guys are great friends and I appriciate everything that you all have done for me. I can only pray to get better and repay you with friendship and concern for each and every one of you. Please pray for my wife and kids while I'm gone as I'm sure that this will not be easy for them. This is not the way that I intended to spend my 41st birthday  . Guys, PLEASE be careful at whatever you do. Your health is all that you have, I've learned that the hard way.You guys are the greatest, talk to you soon.

God Bless,
God Bless !!!!!!!!!

Ray, we'll be thinking of you and praying that through the study you'll find some healing and relief from the pain. Will also keep your family in our prayers as they support you through this study. Hopefully your 41st birthday will bring some improvements to your situation!

All the best to you Ray, and even more. I sure hope everything turns out good. Your right about your health.

In 1994, we were on strike, and walking the picket line for 10 weeks, this gave us alot of time to talk.

I was walking with an older guy who was close to retirement, as we were walking, I said "I wish I was a millionaire, I wouldn't have to walk up and down this dam sidewalk all day." He immediately turned to me and said, "your healthy are you?" I said, yes. He said, "well there you go, your a millionaire." Man....... that stuck with me to this day, I'll never forget those words.

Ray,

Hang in there and keep looking for the help that you need. There are medical breakthroughs happening all the time. You just need to keep at it, I know. I blew out my back in 2000 and after 4 surgeries I am left in constant, debilitating, pain and have been unable to work for the last 3 years. I am making the trip to the Spine Center at Mass General next week to see if there is anything else to be done for me.

The pain and depression takes it toll but you have to hold on to the fact that Medical breakthroughs keep happening and look for the doctor and procedures that can possibly help. THEY ARE OUT THERE and more are coming down the pike every day.

I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.
