Trouble in paradise

Post by raydaughety »

Y'all remember me losing my lease because someone else had more money than me? Well I got word of what happened on the farm Sunday morning as the farmer left with his wife to go to church. His new "crowd", without asking, took the man's tractor and bush hog and proceeded to open up some old roads. Oh yea boys, it gets better. They buried the tractor and decided to pull it out with a 4x4. So, they wrapped the chain around the gear box on the bush hog and yep, destroyed it. They evidently got nervous and called in a roll back wrecker to get them out which seemed to go ok until they tried to pay the wrecker owner and asked him to keep this little "mishap" between themselves. Y'all the wrecker owner was none other than Mr. Crain's (farmer) oldest son. I'd pay good money to have seen the look on their faces when the sheriff's dept showed up. Now, I try not to be a vengeful person but,   .
God Bless !!!!!!!!!

"Thanks in advance for the discount this year?" :D

No, just kidding. Just say yes. No need to embarrass him.

Thanks for the funny story - sorry for the trouble you've been through though.

If you want the lease back and have a lease that's probably going to be worry free, then just say yes and thank him for calling you.

Be the good guy we know you are, forgive the farmer. If farming is his only job maybe he needed the extra money for a emergency. I am with Sumner , don't embarrass the guy and say yes , you will or should have a better lease for a long time to come.

ray, you know what, about 10 years ago the ranch i hunt on had a guy come by offer the rancher $ 500.00 per year. i said i dont blame you thanked him for hunting there for years ,took all my stuff & left,,,the rancher called me in about 30 days & said the guy didnt pay him &, went in with a 4 wheel drive pu cut ruts all over the place ,,bring your stuff & come back, he said you dont owe me anything you can hunt here the rest of your life, since that time the mother & father have passed away ,the son & his sister own it now i still have the same deal. bet you will be there for years, good luck,, hatchet jack 8)

Ray,
I have always found that life flows in a circle and it all works out in the end.

Bear season starts for me on Sept 5th, with deer opening on the 15th. I am finally getting excited. When do you start??

Sounds like your farmer friend has had enough embarrassment (not to mention equipment loss) to last a good while. The deal ya'll had must look pretty sweet to him now. I hope it works out for both of you.
