Nice little buck. He'll taste great in a sauce pan.

Starting to get cool here, close to freezing at night, snow not far away. Leaves are totally off, feels like to hunting season.

Nice deer, been out twice with no luck even seeing out.

Where abouts in 63A do you hunt? My dads camp is right around Denbigh, I hope to get in there with the bow in a couple weeks.

Guys : franklarabie, Tar Heel, smokepolehall, Kenton, fletch, Grizzly Adam, tracer, DoDFire, VixChix, Maritimer, Farmer, diesel, GREY OWL, pphoenix, huntman, Fox, Dunn14..etc..

Thanks for all the kudos, I appreciate it. Didn't know a thing about XBow hunting until I hooked up here. I owe you guys, this is a great forum.

planter : Oh man, you had me there for a few lines..! :? Good one.

awshucks : You're right, those Slicks are amazing.

j: Hey bud, you're right... not alot of leaves have fallen, and crazy warm until now. The rain took some of them down for sure. Heading back out this weekend. Hope you're able to get out a bit this season, I know you've got your hands full!!

ecoaster : It was a sweet double header. My brother inlaws first deer, and my first buck with a XBow (it would have been my fathers 76th Birthday that day too.. I know he was with me..). It could have been a triple, but Wednesday a doe presented herself, and it was a complete passthrough, great blood trail for 40-50 yards, two piles of blood, then NOTHING. 6 hours of searching. No coyotes, birds, nothing. Almost like the farmer found her and took her before I left the stand to track her. Very, very bizzare. I HATE that feeling.

Grizzly-Papa & Tigerpaw
: Thanks guys. Hope you both get some time in the field. I'll measure his inside spread off the rack this weekend. Good luck to you both, score one for Boiler Room, take care.

Good luck to all of you, the cool weather is here, should be better from here on in!!

Cheers!
