I think that's the Horton recurve...
But as a first-year pro staff member with Horton Crossbows, Loya hopes this year's bear breaks all the Ontario records to date.

I am confused about what it says in the article and what I see in the picture. I believe that is an Excalibur crossbow in the pic but this is in the article.

I guess I was wrong I am not familiar with that Horton bow.

No question about it being a Horton Legacy ... at least I don't think there is! :D Here's some of what I noticed:

It doesn't have Dissipator Bars. The features are all Horton. I blew it up to 21" diagonal ... there isn't any doubt.

Besides, the article said he was on Horton's Pro Staff. :D Pro Staffers are slaves to the sponsoring companies ... guess I would be too if they paid for my gear and sent me on hunts!

No question about that being a big bear, either. 700 pounders aren't unheard of here, and an 880 is the record ... but that 780.5 Ontario bear is a whopper, sure 'nough. I bet he'd have made 900  down here where it's warm and they can feed year round.
