Visitor in the Yard

Post by Newbi »

I peeked out my spam window this morning and noticed that I had this beautiful little visitor. She hung around for about 15 minutes watching my cat, who was watching her. Then she just ambled off into the woods. We have a resident group of 4-5 does and fawns that wander around out here year round. It's a lightly populated area of town, with about 20 acres of wooded land behind us. I have never seen a buck in the 14 years we've lived here.

I commonly see deer and bear in the yard ... very rarely a red wolf ... not a few bobcats, some bald eagles in the winter and an assortment of small game animals ... but I didn't like what I saw the other day:

One butt-ugly cottonmouth mocassin! :x

Nasty.
