Bear pictures

Post by catcher »

A friend of mine sent me these pictures from Alberta. I do not know the story behind them. All I do know is that those claws would ruin your day in a hurry. Look at the length of those suckers.

Freddy Kruger has nothing on that bear!!

That bear was a road kill on a highway right outside of Billings Montana.

Well, that certainly explains the dually flat-bed with the heavy-duty hoist on it ... which would be mighty unusual equipment for a hunter! :D :D

Not a very dignified way to go, I'm afraid!

No doubt someone has the bear mounted with a ferocious snarl!

That bear has been dead a little while. It could be, like humans, once they die, their hair and nails continue to grow. Without the usage and wear, maybe thats why they are so big???

Nope. They are so big because that's the way they are on a grizzly.

Yup after taking a relook at it all, thats definately just the actual size. Sucks to be the prey.

Dunno if its a grizzly though, shoulder high enough?

Just glad that theres none of them here, the coyotes howling when I gotta get to the truck in the dark is enough to think about. They pack up bigtime in my hunting spots to hunt what I do. NO DEER SCENT ON THE CLOTHES.

I know what you mean Rutman. If do not hear 3 seperate packs of coyotes every night when I come in from hunting then something is wrong. I even had one looking at me in my driveway while i was in the garage looking at my deer. I tried to scare it off and it just ran a couple of steps and stood there. I then chased it down the driveway with a broom and the whole time it was not even scared of me at all. After I threw the broom at him and he still did not leave I went back in to get something that would stop him in his tracks and he was slowly walking off. He was to far to try a shot so I let him go. But man it raised the hair in the back of the neck pretty good. I was so mad that it was so bold as to not run off. Now my wife will not check the mail unless it is light out. Next week in the controlled deer hunt I already told the guys in my group that I am shooting coyotes.
