I was sitting in my stand freezing my butt off while waiting. I heard a deer coming . I saw the legs through the bush first, it popped it's head out abd it was a buck fawn. Darn, then I saw more legs, it was a doe fawn and a doe. They started walking towards me. Yes, then I heard another deer coming, I was hoping for a buck but it was another doe. the buck fawn went off on his own, looking for food under an apple tree 30 yards away. The does came towards me and were feeding 20 yards away. I had to wait 10 minutes for the biggest one to be clear of the others. I shot, and saw her go off slowly. I thought I had missed. Got out of my stand and looked for my bolt. Blood ! Yay! Took a quick walk to see how to proceed with the tracking. Looked under a big evergreen and saw her. Thought she was dead. Walked up to check, as I got about 5 feet away she bolted. Scared the crap out of me lol.
Went back to the car to get the flashlights and put the bow back. She ended up running another 50 yards before she went down.
