are most of you guys using limbsavers? if so where would you mount on an exocet?

Haven't used them on a crossbow myself, Cap'n ... but I believe the collective experience of those who have has been that they tend to loosen and fly off prematurely because of the limb shock.

Most report better success with string dampening devices! :D

I manged to keep them on the Equinox by making sure the area of application was prepped with alcohol and keeping my fingers off the applicatiuon tape on the LS. BUT, I didn't notice much change in noise level and decided against using them after being told by Excal that they reduce bolt speed by 10-15 fps.r

Most using the Limbsavers on this forum use the pad type attached to a fabricated L shaped bracket and attached to the riser. It is intended to reduce sting slap noise. Sumner and Greywolf have both posted photos on their setup.
