Mr. Smith is have'n a hard time with his actions, he has seen a Doctor and the paper said that he is "medicated". Everyone in town praises his actions. I know it will be a rough Holiday for him but at least he still has all of his family members be his side.

This time of year is especially bad for burglaries and home invasions. One year I had to respond to 3 separate home invasions in one night by myself. Why no backup? It was because my fellow officers were out doing the same thing. The last 2 in the district got a cop on the scene over an hour after dialing 911. Glad I didn't have to talk to those folks!
Preventing this from happening to you is next to impossible, it's just luck of the draw. My advice is to keep one cocked and locked until after New Years.
