Another flat top

Post by Doe Master »

:) This one came in about 7:30 all alone .It caught me at about 20 yards before I even saw it  .Gave me a slight quartering away so I put the crosshair behind the shoulder and then dropped the hammer. It only made it a short distance before crashing headlong into a tree .It left a bloodtrail a blind man could have followed  .The boss`s did the trick again .

Congrats on the deer! Of course you'll be coming by with the tenderloins, I'll fire up the BBQ! (just kidding :D )
BTW, are you guys going to make those 25th anniversary hats available to us civilians?

I like that hat too! Actually, the whole picture is well composed.

:) The person that was hunting with me had not got one this year so her tag went on it.Her and her husband should be happy with the venison .It wasn`t the biggest one in the bush probably but it will be tender eating .

Where we hunt my grand father doesn't allow nothing but "slickhds" to go in the family sausage. We make about 600 lbs of sausage yearly that's 50% venison and 50% pork. About 50% of the pork is wild.

Fantastic  Fire up the BBQ on the deck and all of us in Ontario will come on over. Congratulations. Tell us a little more about the gear you are wearing and using.

The gear I use is nothing special ,the bow in the picture was my dads for mine was not there for the pictures and his looks better :) .I shoot a old max with a Boo string on canted forward limbs ,a varizone to see where I`m sending my 2219 Boss tipped arrow .Boy does that ever sound like the ad guys on the videos :D I decided to leave out what I had for breakfast. I noticed on a another post asking about the broadheads ,this time with the Boss my deer left a bloodtrail that looked like buckets were thrown out.But earlier in the week I helped track a deer for a friend and it left a drop here and there. It all comes down to exactly where that arrow passed through I think. You will notice that RJ still uses the camlok`s and he harvests deer regularly ,it is not the broadhead it is the spot where it went.
