Love You / sappy me

Love You!

One day a husband's wife died, and on that clear, cold morning, in the warmth of their bedroom, the husband was struck with the pain of learning that sometimes there isn't anymore. No more hugs, no more special moments to celebrate together, no more phone calls just to chat, no more "just one minute." Sometimes, what we care about the most gets all used up and goes away, never to return before we can say good-bye, before we can say "I love you."
So while we have it, it's best we love it, care for it, fix it when it's broken and heal it when it's sick. This is true for marriage . And old cars . And children with bad report cards, and dogs with bad hips, and aging parents and grandparents. We keep them because they are worth it, because we are worth it.
Some things we keep -- like a best friend who moved away or a classmate we grew up with. There are just some things that make us happy, no matter what.
Life is important, like people we know who are special. And so, We keep them close! Suppose one morning you never wake up, do all your friends know you love them?
I was thinking..I could die today, tomorrow or next week, and I wondered if I had any wounds needing to be healed, friendships that needed rekindling or three words needing to be said.
Let every one of your friends know you love them. Even if you think they don't love you back, you would be amazed at what those three little words and a smile can do.
And just in case GOD calls me home
I LOVE YOU!!!
Live today to the fullest because tomorrow is not promised

There is a reason Sax posted what he did. And he may get mad at me for what I am about to tell you, but so be it. He does not want to burden any of you with what he is going through, and I suspect he is really feeling his own mortality.

Scott goes into the hospital on Monday. He will be there for several days. They are going to do a biopsy on the kidney he recently received. And he will also be going through dialysis. This is an ominous development and I know how much it is affecting him. In addition, he is getting hit from all sides with other issues and the burdens of life weigh heavy on his shoulders.

I can tell that he cherishes the support that he receives here from all his “brothers”. That is why he is telling you that he loves you. I don’t think he wanted to go through the doors of that hospital on Monday morning without letting you know this.

In my life I have been fortunate to know many brave men. I have stood side by side with brave men on the field of battle. I have seen brave men stick to their principles even when these principles were unpopular with the masses. I have even witnessed brave men lay down their lives to save the lives of others. And I know this. I am fortunate to know this man. I count this man to be one of the bravest men I have ever known.

And I am proud to say that I love him.

Scott,
I think you know the feeling is mutual among many of us forum members. It may not be too macho to admit you care so much for your friends, but I know we can (and do) come to develop a love and deep respect for folks we've never been blessed to meet in person, but have learned to read a lot of the unwritten, but very evident, character or personality traits that speak of what they believe in. A love for our fellow humans, a love of the great Creator, and a love of the world around us.
It concerns me deeply to hear of your condition, as it concerned me to hear of Gary L.'s condition today.
I can only ask God to do what he knows is best, and give us the ability to understand why.
I would hope your hardships are only temporary and you will be strengthened by your ordeals, but if that is not the case we know you are prepared for any outcome and you are an inspiration to us all.

Scott, what you have posted above are more than just mere words. They come from the heart, speak volumes, and really hit home. I pray that God keep you safe throughout all the ordeals you face, as well as lighten your burdens. Also rest assured that you are loved, just like you love.

Keep the faith "brother", and you shall overcome.

Hey Sax, I hope all is well with you. I understand your feelings when it comes to this forum. It is a family. Even as strangers, we are bonded.

We've been with you when you got your crossbow, your first deer, your kidney. And we will be with you for this next bump in the road.

Take care, and all the best. If it helps get some Oreos!!!!

Sax - we're praying for you here in Ontario. God knows your needs and He's going through those hospital doors with you on Monday. We hope and pray that things will work out for the best for you in all areas of your life!
