Waterproof spray for a pop-up blind?

Post by Pydpiper »

Just looking for suggestions to keep water from dripping in to my blind, more of an inconvenience than anything but if it can be stopped I will try it!
It seem the water just finds little holes to make it's way through, nothing severe though.

Might just be luck but I have an ameristep blind and have sat in it during a downpour had have never had a problem. I'm looking into getting a Double Bull for the upcoming season which is only 103 days away, but who's counting  .

Thanks!
I think I will use the bag idea and chop up cheap tarp, the fiberglass supports will work great to hold it up. So simple I didn't even think about it. :D

David, you can get it all at CTC. Patches and water proofing for tents.

I have the same issue. What I did was get a PVC camo poncho from Walmart for a few dollars. I tie off the head hole and then drape it over the top and tie it off in place. I use one string on each corner and one in the middle oe each side. it lets the water run down the outside of the blind. I get some seeping in from the walls but not real bad and that just runs straight down..
This is just like a rain fly on a tent and works well for me
