Calif. hunting?

Post by sidekick »

Finally going to get to use my Excalibur xbow (like there's any other) to hunt in calif. this year...I'm soooo excited. Was just wondering if there are any other forum members who have had the opportunity to hunt deer and hogs with an xbow in Calif.?

I live in Lompoc, California. I went wild pig hunting with a guide and my brother killed a nice hog with my excal equinox. As far as I know you can only hunt wild pigs and deer during the general season with a crossbow in california. Where will you be going?

You can hunt deer with a disabled archer permit. I'm going to be hunting the foothills outside of Red Bluff...with any luck I may run across a big ol' hog.
