I bought one probably 15 years ago and it sucked. I then bought a couple of Martins, a Bohning and a Bitz, they all work well. Recently I bought a new Arizona and I am impressed. One thing that surpised me is that it does apply a little more pressure to the ends of the feathers and fletchings which is benificial. The only down side is that it does not allow as much flexibility as the others do. The others allow you to change from straight to helical with a swap of a clamp as well as being able to vary offset. Other than that the Arizona is simple to use and difficult to screw up with.
Have both a Grayling and a Blitzengurg both serve me well . The adapter you speak about can be made with a field point and nock for a swaged aluminum arrow . Glue the nock to the field point and you are done .
i have the A ez fletch and it cakes up glue even after being acetoned. had the Bitz great but costly. i have the jo-jan mono rh helical and CB nok receiver now and its very good and the only one i use now
Thanks for all the info guys. I ended up ordering a Grayling and 2" Blazer vanes off of ebay now all I need is some blank shafts and brass inserts and I'll be ready for the trial and error process. Does anyone know where I can get some GT Laser 2 and some brass inserts ?
I find the best reason for doing my own is...I'm always damaging them for one reason or another. This way you can always repair them yourself.
