here's what I've been using. if you check with local equine vets or tack shops they usually stock it.

Thier not joking. My dad actually uses another horse medicine that freezes at some like 50 degrees F (can't remember the name)

i've used it before too Don it really does work. the stuff i've used comes in a brownish-yellow plastic bottle with a picture of a horse on it. weather you use it or not enjoy your break and your getaway time at the cottage and get well soon

The equine Absorbine rub is good stuff. Very effective. Don't cover, wrap, or apply heat!

Other products marketed for horses that have worked well for me: Zev (equine Buckley's) for brutal coughs - works exceptionally well if you can handle it.

"Hoof Quencher" by Absorbine is one of the best hand creams out there for our winters, helps keep finger tips from splitting and bleeding.

The liniment is not a joke.

I used the same materials (originally from Upstate NY) and my father swore by it. In high school & college, when I have a joint or muscle problem, out came the horse liniment. As one of the previous posters indicated, don't wrap it, it will burn the skin if you do.

Good luck and hurry back (some selfish reasons here as I need to order a Boo String for my Vortex).

Looks like used Boo strings may have increased in value. :)

I didn't know you played tennis.

Take care of that elbow buddy! I'm considering going thick, with a 40 strand dacron!! That's got to be a SMOOTH shooting string!

i was in my younger years a Fast ball pitcher and when we played tournaments we put on the horse ( hee) liniment( excuse me). The stuff gets hot but it sure does work. Smells strong also but so does Buckley's and people still use it. I have a case of"golfers" elbow and is also painful and will be using some of this as well. I don't play golf but it is from repetitive trowel movement with my right hand.

C'mon Boo... it will make a STUD out of you. ;)

Just kidding. Yes, it works very well. Like any other treatment dont wrap or apply heat to it. Just dab it on. Preferably outdoors as it does have some odor to it.

Good luck..and let us knwo how you make out.

yes the bag balm as well is great. My grandfather had the worst chapped and cracked hands. That was all that would work until he passed away.
