O/T Long range rifle
I know it has nothing to do with crossbows but I wanted to share a personal feat for myself
.I have shot the long range stuff a few times up at CFB Borden .Yesterday I finally got my first playing card .The competion is shot at 3,4,5,6 and 8 hundred yards .To add a degree of challenge they put a playing card on the 800 yards target
.Well I finally got one.

Good combo...I shoot the same powder/bullets with my 243wssm. Im just outside of waterloo. Are there many places to do this long distance shooting in the area? I Just starting to get into shooting target and the more info the better.Doe Master wrote:I`m shooting a stock m700 in 243 win with 42 grains 4350 pushing a 87 V-max .Optics wise it is my bench scope so it is a little overkill it is a B&L 36X .

I have killed a truckload of carolina whitetails with a .243 and bought one for Tyler. He does very well with it, very kind to the shoulder. I went to a .308 semi-auto a few years ago and it seems to be a compromise between the .243 and my .270. Actually, I have two left handed .270 bolts, a Browning A Bolt (Medallion), and a Remington 700 BDL, both are my "bean field" guns. The .308 is used for dog hunting. Anyhow, great shooting
.
God Bless !!!!!!!!!
