That's the last time I will be stiffed!

Post by Boo »

Just venting mostly. I had a person from England ask me to make him two strings as well as buy him an STS for him. Well like a duffus I did as he asked and planned to spend some time fitting his string and STS at my home. He did not show up! My phone will no longer connect to his as well so needless to say I am a bit pissed. I will only make a string after confirming payment from here on in with the exception of those that I know well enough.
The STS cost me $70.00 and I don't need another extra one.

I will take the STS off your hands if that helps at all.
Sometimes Don, you are too nice of a guy, sorry you got bit.

On another note, England is pretty far, maybe he got caught in traffic? :P

Maybe it's for the best that he didn't get to visit your home. There are a whole lot of decent folks who visit this forum. However, there no doubt will be some who are dishonourable, some perhaps even dangerous.

Scott, I appreciate your offer but it's not the fact that I have two extra strings or the STS, truly, it's the principle of this person's actions. He didn't have the decency to tell me that something has prevented him from completing the deal he initiated followed by an apology. I can sell every string I make eventually.

that suks! Was this a long time member here? If you havent seen us post alot here, I would atleast take a mininium downpayment, but really no one should have issues putting half the cost down or the total cost

this day in time, its to much expense not to get some type of down payment upfront

Sorry to hear it Boo. I have had great dealings with everyone so far. The only trouble I have had is with shipping. Not claiming any fowl by the recipients but have had about three or four mounts never make their destination. I shipped another each time but still frustrating. I always use USPS and really do not want to complain because I still think it is the cheapest and the best.

What goes around, comes around. Welcome to the club, lol. I just took another ding, this time on my Russky target air pistol. MO was supposed to be in the mail, but got an email, his "buddy" gave him a better deal. I was leary of shipping it to Canada anyhow. I asked him if his buddy also sold an Excal about last March, lol. Sorry to hear that, Don, just remember for every jerk there's a forum full of great folks like here.

I couldn't have said it better.

I'd be happy to take a string since I haven't yet had the pleasure of shooting one of you strings, but it looks like I'm several folks deep in line.

In any case, I'm sorry that you've experienced a bit of the ugly side of the Internet...

It is a shame that a few can ruin it for so many. :x I have had nothing but great service and an excellent product from you Don.

I agree, it is sad that we live in a world where somebody's word means very little to them.

Put me on the list if you need to get rid off something that would fit on my 07 Vortex. I would be glad to help take those off your hands.
