You guys are such homers.

No matter how much the republicans screw everyone over, you're so afraid of the word 'Liberal' that you'll never vote otherwise. It makes no sense.

Swish . . .not sure I understand what you mean. Do you think we should vote Liberal? If so, why? Which ticket do you consider liberal and why.

Also, how do you feel the Republicans have screwed us over? It is documented fact that the current economic problems were started by the Democrats in 1999. Clinton even came out and admitted it on TV today. There is also documented facts that show Republicans fighting in Congress to resolve the problems, just to have Democrats vote it down. McCain is on record fighting for financial reform of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in 2005. . .what is Obama on record for doing? Funny, they showed the democrat that was responsible for stopping the reform bill in 2005, and he said we would never reach a crisis and these institutions have been doing a very, very good job for 20 years. I bet he hates seeing that video clip on TV.

The big problem you guys have is you don't watch Fox news. Fox is the only station that does a awesome job presenting both sides. I tried to watch ABC and NBC, but, they just don't do a good job. You need to watch the Fox.

Is it just me or is Obama coming up with something new to spend a billion dollars on everytime he speaks. A billion dollars to cure diseases in Africa where his Momma lives? What is that all about?

I'm still waiting on that one thing Obama has done that you supporters are proud of . . .one thing.
I'd rather wear out than rust out.

His Mother was a working 'Single Parent' and is now deceased. You should research her and would more than likely admire her reguardless of what you think of Obama.

I doubt that Kelley, but, I was talking about Obama. Maybe Obama said lived, instead of lives . . .either way, it's a lot of money that we tax payers WILL NOT get back. Momma was a working "single parent" and I think she made bad choices, otherwise, she wouldn't have had anything to do with Obama's Daddy and she would have raised her son, herself. Daddy sure was a clown.

I've heard rumors that Bill Clinton wants Obama to lose so Mrs. Clinton can run for President in four years. There's probably some truth to that considering the positive comments directed toward the McCain camp the last few days. Or maybe the democrats are trying to cover up Bill's comments by starting the rumor. Who knows.

This is shaping up to be the most interesting election, ever.

I'm still waiting on that Obama proud moment.

Darn right I am afraid of the word liberal and why should I not be. I saw how Klinton banned guns and wanted to ban more. Do you think Obama and his extreme left wing crowd like Chuckie Shumer and Pelosi, Durbin and others won't do their best to try more ban's if Obama is elected? I saw how Liberals in the schools taught this new generation you do not have to be responsible for your actions, along with the liberal social services who took corporal punishment away from the teachers and the parents so the few that are trouble makers know they can push buttons and get by with stuff until they cross the line into serious trouble. When I was a kid and parents and teachers could disipline and you never had any school shootings. What else could it be we still had guns then and we still had kids parents and teachers only the lack of disipline has changed. Heck when I was a kid we even carried pocket knives to school but every one knew that you never would pull one on anybody. I saw slick willie teach a whole nation of young folks that oral sex is OK because it is not sex. I now have seen a nation on the brink of financial collapse because a liberal president decided that More is Better and the skys the limit and de-regulate the banking system. I am sure I could fill up a lot more space if need be.Afraid of liberals you bet considering they are wrecking this country from the inside out.
having lived and worked in both Canada and the USA maybe I can translate.... I would guess that GTA is the city Toronto in Canada.... Liberals would be close to Democrats and even though they are elected most of the time in Canada with a majority government they accomplish nothing (although there's a few things on the list above that look familiar... and some scandals that aren't on the list... so I guess they do accomplish some things :( ).... Conservatives are more like Republicans, they get elected infrequently and usually inherit a Liberal mess... they usually get a short time to attempt to fix the mess before people re-elect the Liberals and start the cycle over again..... there are other parties like the NDP (socialists) their platform is that the government should give everyone everything and only tax corporations... nobody anywhere would be able to fix things if these clowns were ever elected and the only business left in the country would be the government... luckily they have never been elected nationally, they have been elected provincially (state) and it took a decade to sweep up after their leader at the time, Rae and his cronies...

I said before that the Liberals didn't do anything, well that's not entirely true.... the Liberals were responsible for the gun registry in Canada.... I still haven't figured out how the Liberals (and their supporters) can believe that criminals who by definition, "break laws" will for some reason obey this one and they will register their guns....

for those that want to read about the wasted money, corruption, loss of private information and all for no increase in safety or security.... feel free

just giving the Liberals their due credit...

I'm against the $700,000,000,000.00 bailout of our pathetic financial institutions

Instead, I'm in favor of giving $700,000,000,000 to America in a We Deserve It Dividend.

To make the math simple, let's assume there are 200,000,000 bonafide adults in the U.S.

Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman

and child. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up..

So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $700 billion that equals $3,500,000.00.

My plan is to give $3,500,000 to every person 18+ as a

We Deserve It Dividend.

Of course, it would NOT be tax free. So let's assume a tax rate of 30%.

Every individual 18+ has to pay $1,050,000 in taxes.

That sends $210,500,000,000 right back to Uncle Sam.

But it means that every adult 18+ has $2,450,00.00 in their pocket.

A husband and wife has $4,900,000.00.

What would you do with $2,450,000 to $4,900,000 in your family?

Pay off your mortgage - housing crisis solved.

Buy that vacation home you have always dreamed of (or 2 or 3)

Repay college loans - what a great boost to new grads

Put away money for college - it'll be there

Save in a bank - create money to loan to entrepreneurs.

Buy a new car (or 2 or 3) - create jobs

Invest in the market - capital drives growth

If we're going to re-distribute wealth let's really do it...instead of trickling out

a puny $1000.00 ( "vote buy" ) economic incentive.

If we're going to do an $700 billion bailout, let's bail out every adult U S Citizen 18+!

Sure it's a crazy idea that can "never work."

But can you imagine the Coast-To-Coast Block Party!

How do you spell Economic Boom?

And remember, this plan only really costs $489.5 Billion because $210.5 Billion is returned

instantly in taxes to Uncle Sam.

I heard the deregulation craze started with Regan and has continued untill now. It has lasted through both Democratic and Republican controled times. More importantly though is what Mcain said in a speach 6 months back about our financial institutions. This is a story about it:
http://wonkroom.thinkprogress.org/2008/ ... egulation/

This is the fox news article and word for word speach referenced in the previous article: http://embeds.blogs.foxnews.com/2008/03 ... usingplan/

Personaly I am against the bailout and I think it won't realy help. It is only a band aid. We face a very real and maybe inevitable chance of depression. The bailout will delay it, but not fix it. Creating that much money will devalue the dollar, cause prices to rise on everything but homes and our downward spiral will continue while the banksters continue to profit. I think they should use that money to drop rates and allow everyone who deserves it to refinance with a better loan that they can afford. The financial institutions should take it on the chin and be hung out to dry. Us normal people will have some hard times but they would be easier to deal with knowing that the people that deserve it finaly got some help and some of the people that caused this are being punished. I also think that it should be viewed as a criminal act to even try to pass a plan like the original which demanded no oversight and imunity from any illegal acts for the Fed. The Fed needs to go. The housing crises and the financial crises are only two symptoms of a much greater disease I am afraid. Our debt and the people who negligently let it get this bad and want to make it worse are the main problem. Add to that the corruption and massive theft going on in all facets of the system and you don't have a pretty picture.

Here are some figures I found on another site that help with perspective. I am not sure if they are true, or if my calculator can go that high.

1 million seconds = 11.6 DAYS
1 billion seconds = 31.7 YEARS
1 trillion seconds = 31,700 YEARS

Official national debt of the US is now is $10Trillion.
Unofficial national debt of the US is $56Trillion.
7 billion repaid @ $1Million a day: about 19 Years.
$56Trillion repaid @ $1Million a day: about 153 Years.

Here are some interesting and scary links:

This one is about the bailout:
http://www.iht.com/articles/2008/09/25/ ... /col26.php

These are about just a few possible thefts, missmanagements, or accounting errors:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/7444083.stm
http://edition.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/meast ... raq.audit/
It is funny how this one was announced a day before 9/11 and never heard of again:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AMVM5XNdYo4

And finaly the worse for last. A theory of what a colapse of our economy could look like compared to the colapse of the USSR. Not to scare you, but to inform you, and suggest that maybe we should be focusing on this instead of a worthless bailout for a bunch of crooks:
http://madconomist.com/what-if-us-colla ... ds-to-know

And what our country may be focusing on/preparing for behind the scenes. Keep in mind we allready have a fully milliterized police force and the national guard: http://www.infowars.com/?p=4803
