Oh no!

Post by cdup »

Went to a buddy's house today to shoot my phoenix. Shot at 20 yds and kept moving back until I came to the 40 yds mark. Then it happen! Pulled the trigger and a complete unfamilar sound with a diff. vibration occured. Knew what I did and had that sinking gut feeling inside come over me. Forgot to place the arrow in the rail. The boo string flew off and nearly hit my friend who was just to the left of me. He got a kick out of it ,but I was concern because of opening day tomorrow. I have the sts system on it so that made me feel better. Inspected the limbs and restrung and shot it. Everything seems to be fine. Arrived at home and gave it the cotton ball test and found no snags. When I pass my finger on them I notice a few single small like bump the size of a pen tip on the out side of the limbs.( might have always been there and just not notice) Any thoughts would be welcome. * Where do I sign up for the dryfire club and How long does it take to find out if I'm accepted? Will I received a membership card and a free hat.

You should be fine . . .just keep an eye out for splinters.

You will have to check with Boo and Saxman on your certificate of honor.

I am guessing but if you did not have to give your string any real number of twists to get your brace height then you are probably ok. The STS sure does suck up an awful lot of excess energy which is what damages the limbs. I've not heard of anyone damaging their STS equipped bows yet. Be you feel smart for buying an STS! Did you change your pants yet? LOL!

Hopefully it will be a while before I'm fully accepted into the double duece club. As for of the $25 membership fee, No problem , as long as the fee goes to a good cause.( not a personal gain)lol :) Could be a way to raise money for a chosen benefit. :D
