I killed 6 Deer with the 4 blade Hammerhead 108 gr. Not one of the 24 blades broke. I bent some while taking out some rib bones. Thats no big deal. They killed very quickly and efficiently, I found.
Replacing the used blades was easy. I remember finding 12 pack replacement blades on Sale at Gander Mountain for $3.99. I grabbed all they had. 4 packs I think.

I've used the Rocket Hammerheads for 7-8 years, and dropped about a dozen deer with them. I'll echo what others have said: short blood trails (sometimes dropped in their tracks) but fragile blades make them a one-shot disposable broadhead in my experience. But I'd rather lose a broadhead than lose a deer.

Where are you getting FOUR bladed Hammerheads? All I've ever seen are three bladed.

David . . .great presentation with the broadheads. Congrats on your harvest!

I love the wide cut blades. I suggest using the widest blade you can and still get a complete pass through.

I too had much rather lose a broadhead than a deer. There is nothing more accurate. It's a lot easier to do your job if the broadhead is accurate and deadly. :)

Norm . . .I like those 4 bladed monsters too. I'm emailing Trophy Ridge with a request right now.

I think the 4 blades were discontinued?

The four blades were a limited run that I hear never made it to the stores. I got mine directly from Rocket. $18 for a three pack. I remember the first deer I killed with the 4 blade.
After I skinned it my Mother was poking her fingers through the enormous entry and exit holes. Wide eyed she said "WOW, what the heck made this huge hole"?

I was searching the web to find replacement blades for the Stricknines and found these . . .

http://www.wileyoutdoorsports.com/detail.cfm?ID=3743

Hammerhead-4L: 108 grains, 2" cutting diameter, 3/8" in flight, with four 0.027" stainless steel blades. The Big-X-Bullet of archery, the Hammerhead-4L was created to harness all the power of today's high performance bows. It delivers an enormous 4" of horizontal cut, yet it will out-penetrate many conventional vented broadheads of considerably smaller size. The blades are swept back for superior penetration. The recommended launch speed is for 260 ft/sec or greater.

Apparently there are a few packs out there for $26.99 per 3 pack. Better get them before Norm.
