Wooden stock blanks for sale- all gone

Post by maple »

OK.

Since Mark Heneger seems to be AWOL, I am going to offer for sale stock blanks to fit Excalibur crossbows. These were made by me a few years ago, when it seemed reasonable to make a munber of blanks at the same time. I have five left.

They are made of triple-ply white ash, easier to work with than maple, and they have a beautiful grain. They are ready to be bolted on and used as they are. Bolt holes, trigger opening and trigger guard all ready. But they ought to be shaped, of course. By You.

This is a one-time opportunity to custom finish a unique stock. Perhaps they are two ounces heavier than the original plastic stock, depending on how you shape the wood. An angle grinder and sanding disc are ideal to rough out the shape. (Can Tire grinder sale $17.99) Sandpaper or file to finish. Just use the plastic Excal stock as a guide and customize it to your liking. Two of them are 1" longer in the butt for big people. I have used my own for 4 years with great pride (see photo). They will fit all Excal models up to last year, NOT the recent thumbhole or early wooden models like the Wolverine.

I will pack and ship anywhere, you pay the shipping by mail or courier. In time for Christmas. If you don't like it, send it back for a refund.

I am asking $60.00 CAN and will give a portion to the Digger memorial fund.

Sold! I'll take one.
PM me some shipping and payment information.
Thanks for the heads up Norm, I almost missed this.

I have all the woodworking tools a guy could want, but very little skill :D . Last year or the year before I converted my father-in-laws right hand crossbow to a left and it came out great.
