Guys/Gals....

Post by VixChix »

Hey guys and gals!

Just wanted to comment on how often I see you all using "guys/gals" , "he/she", "his/hers", etc. in your posts. I think it's cool, but you don't have to do it for me. I'd never feel put out or left out if you just say "guys". Seriously. I'm not that kinda gal.

BUT, I think it's AWESOME that you guys/gals do it! If there are other huntresses lurking out there I'm sure it goes a long way to making them feel welcome and validated.

Now don't get all paranoid and feel like you should be doing it all the time. I just wanted to let you know that I think you guys/gals are the best and I hope other women out there enjoy being here as much as I do.

And to all you lurking ladies - come on out and post sometime! :D

This probably isn't the thread direction the original poster/posterette was hoping for. :D

The problem with the Tiffany and whomever show is, they spend too much time showing us their travelling, their getting to the camp, setting up blah blah blah blah.

I know that they are trying to appeal to a wider audience and I applaud their efforts to make hunting a family event. I think it is a great tool to show some women out there that have never been exposed to hunting (other than seeing a dead deer on the hood of a car) that it is not just a man thing and that couples can share some very quality time together if they both hunted. However, my personal taste is I would like to see more actual hunting on that show as I get bored of all the irrelevant chit chat and want to switch. That is just me.

You know who has about the perfect ballance and on screen chemistry is Ralph and Vicky Ciancarulo. I especiialy love the episode where she kills her biggest buck ever and it happens to be bigger than anything Ralph has killed. She razzes him pretty good. And, that is one monaster of a deer (can be seen on the Hoyt prostaff website)

I also like Don and Kandi Kisky (another looker ) they are another good mix that appear on Realtree Road Trips, Real Tree Outdoors, The Choice and a few other shows. We definitely need to get more women introduced to hunting, I really think there are allot of women out there that would get bit by the bug if properly introduced. My wife was a real city slicker and had zero interest in hunting and fishing until she met me. I talked her into living in "the stix", we bought a house way out of town. She could not believe the peace and quiet out here, it did not take long and she was bit  . Now she gets just as excited about being outdoors hunting and fishing as I do, she loves it and would never go back to the city. One of our favorite things to do together is shed hunting and she is a heck of a deer tracker. I do consider myself lucky to have found such an open minded women that was willing to give my lifestyle a chance. If I could get her on a huntin show she would be the hottest thing on Wild TV  .
