CONGRATS on the bow purchase!!!! :lol: :lol: :lol: Not only does it make the deer season longer, it's just plain FUN to shoot. :D You'll have a blast with it through the summer. ENJOY!!!

As stated before the compound is the newest form of weapon for hunting .The crossbow far predates the firearm,for a gun is only a portable cannon put on top of a crossbow stock . :D

Got me a new Vortex figued start higher... :D Shot the 1st 20 and "SSSSWWWEEEEEEEETTTTTTT".. Now I hope Pa Game Comm passes the change next year like they want.. As for now when flintlock comes in crossbows are legal... Too many days between season..!!!!

not only does deer season last longer, we get to wear our expesive cloths more than just a week a year :) :)

Now that you own it I would suggest shooting it a lot and becoming thoroughly familiar with it.
DO NOT spend time reading all the suggestions that you should have boght something "bigger - better - faster" and so on. :wink: :lol:

I own the Phoenix and couldn't be happier with my choice. It's easy to cock & shoot, and that leads to more practice which will pay off when it comes time to pull the trigger with game in the sights.
