Had my tags on a slow boil all day but the broth still lacks flavour. I did put an arrow through a nice long beard during the fall season.

What's wrong with the way the deer is tagged??
You can take the man out of the woods but you can't take the woods out of the man.

Some good ideas. I'm thinking of putting together a tag cook book!

Spent the afternoon hauling in blinds from the 2 farms we hunted. Nothing but coyote, rabbit and squirrel tracks.

a tag around the base of the antler or through the ear is perfectly acceptable and legal which side doesn't matter

if it is late in the year and i am worried about the antlers pulling off i will ear tag mine otherwise i tag mine on the antlers i think the tags look good on the antlers on the wall and it makes it easy to remember the date and year each buck was shot but both methods are legal the most important thing to remember is to notch the tag. that is far more important than where you put it

No harvest with my Pheonix yet. I wasn't prepared for the deer season this year so I didn't even bother purchasing a tag this time around. I'm hoping to take a rabbit or two befor the end of February, and of course then comes turkey season!
