The Bow Shop
Has anyone delt with the Bow Shop in Waterloo, ON? What are they like for stock?
And, does anyone here have a Mathews compound bow? Are they really what they say they are?
Thanks

bow shop
i recomend them highly i have made a few buys there with good luck george is a good guy to deal with DUTCH
I know them(Bowshop) very well. The Bowshop does not carry a lot of Mathews stuff but they are slowly getting a few more of their bows in each year. They have the best stock you will find in Ontario for everything else. prices are in the ballpark on most items. depends on what you are looking for. i shop there simply because they generally have what I need or can get it whereas some o fthe smaller shops do not carry that large of an inventory.
As for the Mathews bows, I will tell anyone the same thing. try, try, try and then try again when bow shopping. Get the bow that fits you best and is best designed for it's intended use (regardless of the name).
That being said, my last 4 vertical bows have been Mathews. Why? #1 Reason: They just happen to have made the bow that fits and works best for me. ( accuracy and dependability trump speed for me) #2. I love the quality of their bows. They look and feel like a well refined bow. Solid, accurate and excellent customer service. If you are a speed freak, well, Mathew has entered that arena now also so I suggest you go give em a try.

It's hard to read your message with those things bouncing to the left of my screen. Very hypnotic. Anyway. I'm not much into a bow strictly for speed but rather for quality and durability. I was looking at another PSE but a higher end PSE.
I guess I'll have to head over there and try out a couple different bows.

have absolutly nothing but positive things to say about the shop and the employees, just remember to turn left and go up the stairs.....

chris, try to take your eyes off my woman for a second and concentrate LOL!
I can't stand the bow bashing threads on forums like ArcheryTalk. Everyone has their preferences. Try them out and see what works for you.
I know for a fact that Mathews has lifetime warranty to the original owner and when something breaks, they get it fixed in no time. I know a fellow that used a stand that had no protection (mole skin) on it causing it to wear the limbs to the point where he got a small splinter on the top. The kickstand was useless and I would never have put it on my bows. Anyhow, he contacted his dealer, they called Mathews and exactly 11 days later he had new limbs and was on his way. I know of another company (not gonna mention who) that it took my buddy 5 months to get a new set of limbs after his cracked due to manufacturing error.
They are as fast and as quiet as any bow out there. Their bow are as accurate as anyone could ever hope for. The question is, do they make a good bow for you? What are you looking for? A hunting bow? A target bow? Indoors? Outdoors? Short axle to axle? What is your draw length? If you have a shorter draw, then you can get away witha lower brace height. Longer draw (28 and up) I would suggest 7 inch brace height for forgiveness. Sooooo many things to look at.

get a Hoyt;) but seriously, like said above, just go out and see what fits your hand better. A buddy has the Mathews DXT and I cant stand it. It vibrates way to much on the shot unlike my Hoyt. My hoyts also 6inches longer which helps with that also though. Its quick, but no quicker than my Vectrix. Hoyt and Mathews are up there in quality.... PSE has some good bows out, but they are made for the drag racing department it seems. I like a good solid, fast bow thats made for hunting
Mathews has some new models coming out that you might wanna wait for. They are keeping them hush, but im pretty sure they will be pushing 350-360fps if you shoot that setup they have for them. But in real world, look for 240-290fps from any compound
my Hoyt is rated at 316, but at my draw weight and length im only shooting 275
