The only stand I hunt from is an old tree fort made by the children of the farmers who's land I hunt. They have all grown up an moved on now. The location is perfect for those far and few times I get in a tree, no walls, just a 4x4 platform with a heck of a nice view.
On the tree is an old chunk of wood with the name "karen" carved deeply in to it. When I hunt it I tell the wife I am going to hunt Karen, so she knows where I am. I have to be careful if there are people around though, My ex-wife's name is Karen too.
If you are not willing to learn, nobody can help you, if you are willing, nobody can stop you.

Ah yes...such memories of "tree stand names". It's how the boys in the camp would speak, back in Nova Scotia. Here's a few we've used over the years:

The Number 1 Stand (very productive over the past 10+ years, earning it's name!)
The River Stand
The Point
The Windy Stand (not a fun one on blustery days!)
Tranquility Bay (my departed father's favorite....)
The Pines
The Chair
The Oaks
The Swamp Stand

Fun times had at all of them........

Using primarily a climber I tend to name the trees that we use in an area.
