I do not own any lights with that Cree MC-E, I will wait until someone can compare the Tiablo Ace with the upcoming Fenix TK40, both are known for good quality, the reflector size and shape will determine if the light can actually project that many lumens, seeing how the light at 700+ lumens is only good for a search light anyways.
It would be nice to see a company make one that is variable from the maximum output down to something usable indoors, like 10 lumens.

There are literally hundreds of mods out there for that light, try this one. I just sent it off in a PM to someone else, I read quite a bit about it this morning, sounds like a decent upgrade, even used a Q5 LED. http://www.kaidomain.com/ProductDetails ... uctId=1777
Another thing, if you upgrade the emitter in a Mag you need to replace the window (lens) with glass or sapphire to take the increased heat. Most places that sell upgrades sell windows as well.

If one were to purchase that flashlight you posted which batteries would I be looking at?
The light is about $100, and the batteries (18650's) with charger another $30. The batteries a bit harder to come by right now, they are a sought after replacement for 2 CR123A cells, but most dealers carry them, just back ordered right now.
I recommend these guys to buy from, and if you do, enter code "cpf8" in the coupon box and it will save you some money. There is also no charge for shipping, even to Canada. https://www.4sevens.com/product_info.ph ... cts_id=543

Typically, yes. But when they have a back order they remove them from the site. You can email the company and inquire about the batteries and they will let you know an estimated time of arrival, they sell a package deal of 2 cells and a charger for $30. It will of course run off typical store bought 123A cells, but that gets expensive, fast.
Here is another great dealer, he seems to have the cells in stock. http://www.lighthound.com/AW-18650-Prot ... p_105.html
