Meet Teeka..

Post by Pydpiper »

We brought a pup in to our house, a young Beagle from dutchhunters litter. I can't say she is the hunting dog I have been after but she sure fits good in this family. :D
The kids adore her, my wife is crazy about her too, and that is a pretty good feeling. Teeka is a loud little thing as she tries to find her place in our house, it won't take long. We have a lot of time to spend on a dog, and from what I have heard and read this is the dog that is going to need it. We are ready.
She is very comfortable with a collar and doesn't bat an eye at being on her new leash when it comes time to go outside. So far so good, but then it's only been a few hours. :D
I am still looking for my hunting dog, but now the kids have a puppy to grow with too.

Beagles are great rabbit dogs. I have a friend that has one and if there is a cotton tail in a particular bush the dog will find it!!

And it's over for tonight. So much for my intentions of keeping her in a kennel.

She looks like a fine addition to the family.
Beagles can be a bit "hard headed", but they are still one of my favorite breeds. Great family dog, and also natural hunters.
