Cool Ground Blind!!

Post by MADMAX2 »

This is a cool concept I thought I would share that I hijacked from another
forum not sure if the picture downloaded?

For all of those who like to build their own hunting stands for private land use or whatever, check out these "predator" ground blinds. I call them "predator" from the 1987 movie "Predator" with Schwartzenegger. If you can remember, the "predator" had some pretty dang good camoflauge!

Anyway, some may think this is silly and some may think it is the best thing since sliced bread. Using OSB or other plywood (or be creative), build basically a boxstand that you can sit on the ground. You want to have the walls angled out so that the sun doesn't reflect off of it. Once you get it built, get some (one way) mirror tint and staple it or whatever to the outside of the stand. Talk about some great camo! Excuse the quality of the pics because I enlarged them so you can get a better look at how they blend in with their environment. It's all in how creative you are to how well they can be built. You can make simple ground blinds with no roof and just a front or make a covered box. Just make sure to angle the sides out to prevent sun glare. If done right, you can go almost invisible and mossy oak "ain't got nuthin" on this dude! See if you can spot the two box stands! LOL! Call me crazy but, it works! Not sure if anybody else has done this but, I thought I would post something about it.
