I'm sure you will miss Buster a lot. You can always remember all the good times you had together. I have a Chockolate lab going on 14 years old now that I raised from a pup and I know it's getting close for her time also and I am not looking forward to that either :cry:
They become more than just a pet I guess.
Life goes by quick - so don't think about going hunting - get out there and DO IT!

Fox - Know how you feel and sorry you are having to go through it. I had to put my friend down a few months ago - well I didn't, wife did it so I wouldn't have to be there. She held him the whole time. She brought him home and we buried him under a pine tree out back. Cried like a baby the whole time I was digging the hole. There is a reason they are called Man's Best Friend - they love you unconditionally. I said I didn't want another one, but wife didn't listen, nothing helps with the healing like another Best Friend.
